Poker Stars Sunday Million Gives Away Over $1.4 million
March 5 - Poker Stars stepped it up to another level on Sunday when their guaranteed Sunday Million poker tournament attracted a massive field of 6,672 players ensuring that the prize pool was an equally staggering $1,434,400!
The entry fee for the tournament is $500 + $30 and at least one million dollars is up for grabs every Sunday at Poker Stars.
For those of you who are swift at basic maths it's apparent that the prize pool yesterday was greater than the entry fees collected. That's because Stars added a bonus $100,000 into the pool in order to celebrate the fact that it was the 1 year anniversary of their Sunday Million poker tournament.
They were probably also celebrating the fact that Party Poker no longer accepts US players and that Full Tilt experienced a temporary system meltdown that forced the postponement of their guaranteed Sunday tourney.
