April 10 - If you're a serious online poker player then you'll know that Sunday is the most important day of the week with huge guaranteed tournaments at all the major poker rooms. The two biggest, held by Stars and Full Tilt, witnessed a rare achievement on Sunday as the same player made both final tables.
Online poker requires a good deal of luck at the best of times but to navigate your way (simultaneously no less) through two huge fields speaks volumes about skill. The player in question is 'IBluffUOut4' who battled past more than 6600 players at Poker Stars to get to that final table with the chip lead. He was also spotted at the $400k guaranteed final table at Full Tilt where 1962 runners had started.
That's the online poker version of Dan Harrington's prodigious effort to make two final tables back-to-back at the WSOP Main Event. Certainly 'IBluffUOut4' had to beat a similar size field and the sad thing is he's probably disappointed that he didn't win at least one of the Sunday tourneys.
He ended up 5th in the Stars tournament pocketing a little over $42,600 and then took 3rd at Full Tilt earning another $29,600. Not a bad way to spend one's Easter Sunday!
