Scandinavian Poker Masters Kicks Off

August 17 - There is much excitement within poker circles as the highly
anticipated Scandinavian Poker Masters poker tournament has kicked off, with its
impressive field of top poker pros and online poker players alike.
Known as Scandinavian Poker Masters - The Game, this 'cash game' poker
tournament is being billed as the European equivalent of the ever-popular 'High
Stakes' show, which will see European poker professionals, various VIPs Internet
poker players battling it out.
Vying for some large cash prizes in The Game are high-calibre players including
the ever-controversial Tony 'G' Gouga, David 'Devilfish' Ulliot, Per Hildebrand,
Patrick Antonius, Juha Helppi and many others.
They are competing with 12 lucky and skilful online poker qualifiers in two
semi-final tournaments, with the winners from each able to 'buy' themselves a
seat at the final table of The Game, which is where the real nail-biting action
will come into effect.
The final cash game boasts a $15 ante and blinds of $100 - $200. With a
minimum buy in of $50 000 cash, it will be interesting to see how the players
handle their stacks and battle it out.
