Scott Fischman or Scott Fishman - Poker Legend
|
Scott Fischman, frequently misspelled as Scott Fishman, is one of the young guns of poker, and a budding poker legend. Fischman is now a two-time World Series of Poker champion and he isn't quite 24 years old yet. His sudden and spectacular rise to fame as part of a poker crew that captured the imagination of poker fans everywhere during the 2004 World Series Of Poker. Players like Thomas Keller, Dutch Boyd, and Scott are all players looking to become legends of the game. Fischman's exploits are partially responsible for thousands of college-age kids thinking they can do the same.
But most of them will find that they lack Scott's intensity, talent, and sheer commitment to poker. He was also a runner-up in the 2005 World Series $1,500 no-limit hold'em event, in an amazing attempt to defend the same title that he won in 2004. He capped a phenomenal 2005 by winning the World Poker Tour's Young Guns of Poker tournament.
Fischman generates the bulk of his poker winnings from online poker, and as Empty Seat on PokerStars Fischman also fared very well in this year's World Championship Of Online Poker series. He is a high-stakes online poker player who frequently plays 10 hours a day in marathon sessions.
Whether you spell it Scott Fishman or Scott Fischman the future looks bright for Scott as he has started his own online poker room known as the Fish Tank. He is managed by one of the sharpest poker agents around, his big sister Beth Fischman, and together this family is taking the poker world by storm!
