May 15 - A top player at Ultimate Bet, known by the user name
moniker dhc2lovr, has beaten the odds by hitting two Bad Beat Poker jackpots
within a few months of each other.
In March, the gifted player won over $170,000 by hitting the Bad Beat Poker
jackpot. But that did not stop him coming back for more. A frequent player at
Ultimate Bet, the player holds the prestigious status of Ultimate Legend, a top
place in Ultimate Bet's RAI$E loyalty program hierarchy.
To maintain this status, moniker dhc2lovr needs to earn 2,500 RAI$E points
each month and so it came as no surprise when this player was back at the Bad
Beat Poker tables very quickly after his win.
Persistence paid off and last week, the player walked away with another
$146,000 for hitting his second Bad Beat jackpot which had reached a massive
$449,000. Over 100 other Ultimate Bet players shared another $146,000 and the
winner of the poker hand won nearly $73,000.
Speaking about his success, moniker dhc2lovr said: "I had won a Bad Beat
before but I really didn't feel there was any reason why I couldn't win again. I
felt the same chances as anyone else to win and the fact that I had won it
before made no difference."
Bad Beat Poker is played using traditional Texas Hold 'em rules, with the
added advantage of a Bad Beat progressive jackpot. If a player loses a
hand with four eights or better, 65% of the jackpot is divided between the
players, with the rest being held back to begin the new jackpot and to cover
administrative fees.
An Ultimate Bet spokesman said: "Bad Beat Jackpot continues to excite members
of the online poker community by showing them that anything is possible at our
Texas Hold em tables."
