June 16 - When it comes to successful poker management, the name Steve
Morrow instantly crops up. In his 17 years of activity in the poker
industry, Morrow has undertaken a wide range of projects, including co-directing
the World Series of Poker event in 2002. In addition, he has directed the
largest online poker tournament to date - the PokerStars World Championship of
Online Poker in 2002/2003.
Morrow, who currently runs Paradigm Poker Consultants, recently
announced that he was looking for investors to help take on an exciting new
project. Riding on the wave of success of online poker, Morrow is looking to
create a unique new online poker community.
According to Morrow, the first stage of the new project will consist of a
poker themed online auction site to be known as ThePokerAttic.com. Here, players
will be able to bid for and sell a wide range of poker-related items and
memorabilia.
The second and third phases of the community would be the creation of a new
online poker gaming room where players will be able to enjoy their favorite
variations of poker. Finally, Morrow plans to create an active social networking
site that will attract players from all over the world who share a common love
of the game.
One of Morrow's main achievements in his lucrative career has been the
transformation of PokerStars.com from a small start-up company to the
second-highest ranked poker room in the entire online poker industry. He was
contracted to become the site's manager in 2002, just three months after
PokerStars began offering cash games. Morrow was responsible for the site's
meteoric rise, including the introduction of the World Championship of Online
Poker.
Steve Morrow is seeking online poker investors and key
personnel for his new venture which, coupled with his vast experience, will
create one of the leading projects in the future of online poker.
