November 11 - One of the most colourful characters in the poker world, Tom
"durrr" Dwan has changed his mind and signed an endorsement deal with Full Tilt
Poker.
Dwan becomes the fourteenth player to sign up with this industry leading
online poker room.
"Full Tilt doesn't take adding a team member lightly," said Howard Lederer,
himself a member of the top team. "But Tom Dwan has proven, through skill
and dynamic play, that he will be a force to be reckoned with for many years to
come. We are proud to count Tom as one of our own."
Tom Dwan's career can be described as illustrious. His presence in high
stakes poker games is legendary and he is virtually unstoppable when he has a
point to prove across the felt.
While Dwan feels more at home playing online poker, he has nevertheless
managed to make himself over $1 million in live tournaments, including one World
Poker Tour final table and three World Series of Poker cashes.
For a player who is barely 23 years old, this is a remarkable achievement.
As a highly animated poker player, Dwan is also sought out for appearances in
televised poker shows such as High Stakes Poker, Full Tilt's Million Dollar Cash
Game and Poker After Dark.
As a member of Full Tilt Poker, Tom Dwan joins other top names in the poker
world such as Phil Ivey, Jennifer Harman, Patrik Antonius, Erik Seidel and
Howard Lederer.
Dwan previously turned down endorsement offers but analysts believe that a
recent poor run in terms of winnings forced the player to seek out supplemental
income.
Odds were offered on who would make the final table, and naturally Ivey
bettors were paid out well for their support.
