|
Equally
comfortable playing the good guy or the bad guy, seasoned movie and TV
actor, Dennis Farina has joined the cast of a new movie about poker called
'The
Grand', which is scheduled to start shooting in Las Vegas in July this year.
The Grand will be filmed in a mainly 'improvisational' manner and is focused on
a fictional poker tournament and the poker players surrounding it.
The film will feature an all-star ensemble cast including Ray Romano (Everybody Loves
Raymond), Jason Alexander (Seinfeld), Woody Harrelson (Cheers), Ray Liotta (Goodfellas)
and Cheryl Hines (Curb Your Enthusiasm).
Cheryl Hines recently made headlines when she defeated poker pros Humberto
Brenes and Erick Lindgren to finish first in an episode of 'Calvin Ayre Wild
Card Poker'. Her victory earned her a spot at the final table as well as $50 000 in
prize money.
(Calvin Ayre is the founder and CEO of Bodog, com, one of the world's leading
online casino, online poker and online betting destinations).
Farina has appeared in many top blockbusters including 'Snatch', 'Saving Private
Ryan' and 'Get Shorty', and was last seen playing Detective Joe Fontana in NBC's
'Law & Order'.
