The World Poker Classic has been an unofficial world championship of poker this year with the tournament field crammed full of the best poker pros on the planet. They're down the final six and Men 'The Master' Nguyen and Roland De Wolfe are the biggest names left.
Roland De Wolfe is one of the top poker players in England and a regular contender on the European circuit. His nickname is 'The Sheep'. He currenly lies in 5th spot in the World Poker Classic but has enough chips left to be very dangerous at today's final table action.
Men The Master has been incredible in this tournament, playing off the felt (or close to it) for much of the event. He has been short-stacked and in perpetual danger of elimination yet somehow he has stayed alive and made it to the final table. What an achievement, but then he was Card Player's player of the year for 2005, and that happened for a reason.
The leader going into the final round is James Van Alstyne, a solid Vegas poker pro, but by no means a "huge name". All that could change if he wins here at the Bellagio.
The last female player left in the tournament, Vanessa Rousso, was knocked out in 7th place on the TV bubble, but earned a huge payday. Well done, Vanessa!
